grooming

there is talk about grooming me... to lead the team... headache, there are 2 more senior people in the team, and most likely they aren't going to like me much. But hey, they should PR a bit more and brush up on the interpersonal skills. I am lovable by nature (rolleyes at myself for being extremely shameless) and I have to say I think I must have done pretty well over the last 9 months to have my boss choose me over the other colleagues. S he says I have good attitiude. She says customers are pleased with me. They think I produced good documentation.
This is such an ego trip. But, nevertheless, I am worried. I have to expand my PR skills to a broader group of people within the department and I am seriously worried of not being able to deliver good quality work in the long run...

part 2: here i am at xxx (not my office), taking a break from the work. I am sipping the last of my black coffee when it suddenly occured to me thati am addicted to something that looks disgusting. Come on, how attractivecan a black beverage look? besides the aroma of the beverage, it really has not much going for it ...

... why do i write so much junk? perhaps I shd have choosen a career ofwriting instead of IT. But then again, i will probably writing real junk that nobody wants toread. Perhaps its best to just keep it here... Sometimes i wonder.. Initially when the blog has started, I was kind of excited. I forwarded the url to several of my more "friendly" friends... and then i realised, they probably did not even bother to check out the link. With the exception of a selected few, who made it a point to visit the page to check out on me in a quiet way. Which makes me think (again), has everybody gone "so busy" that they have no time for friends anymore? Or simply we have all drifted aparted and could not bother to do the "let's catch up" thing anymore?
